From time to time, we all need a bit of inspiration. Do you ever wonder whether you are all alone in a big, bad world? Are you the only working mum struggling to make sense of it all, juggling work, social life and the challenges of bringing up your children? If we are all honest, we all go through these ups and downs and question the meaning of it all, so it is good to see how others operate, to give us a little bit of extra motivation to shake it off and resume the battle!

Due to the social media revolution, we are able to interact with others in such a positive way. We can come across other, like-minded mums who we can bring into our social circles, as we get a glimpse of their complex, alternative lifestyles.

We have searched for some inspirational working mums on one of our favourite social networks, Twitter. See if you can find some inspiration from these women's tweets, but in the meantime why not use the vast power of the Internet to line up some online coaching to inspire you? These days, professional coaching can really be the shot in the arm that you need.

Nadine Hill (@businessmum) from the north of England lists some of her talents as "plate spinner, fashion lover, biz owner" and she is also an entrepreneurial speaker. She has written several books and is adept at multitasking, balancing her roles of business owner and being a modern mum.

Carolyne Wahlen (@preventativehr) runs a business specialising in employment contracts, human resource outsourcing and measures to avoid those potentially damaging issues with employees. Carolyne lives in Reading, can speak German fluently and is also involved with Brownie duties in addition to being a working mum.

Angie Stewart (@angiejstewart) operates a successful business consultancy with her husband. Somehow she is also able to manage the Live Covers Band and Kill The Jukebox, while also bringing up two boys.

Nobody is prouder than Brigitte Mehr (@brigittemehr) as we build our entrepreneurial dreams. She is involved in a great deal, writing a successful blog giving top Internet marketing strategies to us all, while collecting designer handbags on the one hand and promoting online coaching and mentoring on the other.

Astrology is a fascinating pastime, teaching us about the phases of the moon, asteroid identification, eclipses and the millions of stars in the sky. (@serennu) writes about her interests in comedy and music back home in Wales, as she also operates @astrologyblog.

Angela Griffin (@angela_griffin) is a thirty something mum of two, who makes a living as an actress and television presenter for Britain's Sky TV. Fans of Coronation Street will remember her as the hairdresser Fiona.

Tina Weeks is a financial life planner, who wants to help people manage their money effectively, so they can live the life that they want. She is the Finance Coach (@thefinancecoach) and is based in Barnet, London.

On a serious note, if you are really looking for some inspiration, you should read all about Sarah E Andrews (@sarahsaner), who writes all about her fight with and victory over cancer, even as she developed her career as an aspiring fiction writer and balanced her time as a busy mum.

How about becoming a digital nomad and experiencing some real freedom? This is just what Lea Woodward (@leawoodward) has done, living independently of any particular location. This business model works exceptionally well for her, even as a busy mum and she wants to help everybody find out all about this option.

Michelle Dale (@miss_Friday) combined a passion for travel and career development by establishing a successful Virtual Assistance business. She is the entrepreneur's Girl Friday!

Amanda Alexander is Director of Coaching Mums and a highly acclaimed ICF-accredited coach who delivers professional coaching programmes to working mums who yearn for success, balance and fulfilment.

Now that springtime is upon us and summer is on it's way it gets harder to sit in front of the computer each day and do the tasks necessary to establish a profitable home based company. In the case of on line marketing, for instance, creating articles or reviews and building inbound links becomes not so appealing once the out-of-doors calls to you.

But these are the times when it is particularly important to honor your agreements with yourself. The longer you allow things to slide the more difficult it is to start again and the longer it'll be before you see outcomes that will help to encourage you further. And, in the meantime, there's the little boost in energy that results from observing your agreements, particularly when it took some effort to do so.

When looking for a more productive environment one strategy that works for me is to head to my favorite cafe, treat myself to a latte and write there. At the very least I get to enjoy the fresh air as I am walking. Of all the "tricks" I have for developing a writing routine this one is my favorite. I find it very difficult to write at home, whatever the season. It's always the same with any task I am resisting. There are just too many things to distract me - too many excuses. But taking myself off to an environment I take pleasure being in works well. It's a big help to my internal motivation.

It seems to be that even when I am really struggling to write I will usually turn out something when I am in the cafe. Even if it is not particularly good. I also enjoy writing content in the municipal library (it reminds me of happy university days) and on a bench on the prom overlooking the beach.

A productive environment is a necessary factor in relation to motivation so I suggest playing with what works/doesn't work out for you. It is not only about physical space either. I find I can not write, for instance, if there are songs playing in the background. Classical music I can deal with but something with lyrics I can hear and I just can not concentrate.

Occasionally I find having a lit candle on my desk helps me to tackle work I have been pushing aside. No idea why. There is just something I find consoling about it.

So, I encourage you to try out various places and environmental surroundings and develop a selection of situations that help you feel more motivated to carry out those tasks you've been procrastinating over.

It is natural to feel elements of guilt from time to time when you are a working mum. You sometimes feel as if you are doing the wrong thing all the time, even when you are doing your best. (...)

It is natural to feel elements of guilt from time to time when you are a working mum. You sometimes feel as if you are doing the wrong thing all the time, even when you are doing your best. If you have taken a decision to look after your children at home, you might feel that some people consider that you are not "pulling your weight" and contributing enough. Conversely, if you decide that you are going to return to your career after you've given birth, guilt arises here as well, as you think that some people criticise you for "abandoning" your children. It appears that you cannot win. Understand that it is quite usual for you to feel lost and somewhat alone and you might like to consider professional coaching options. This kind of specialised online coaching for women can help you realise that all is not lost, that others are in a similar position to you and that you can really look forward with optimism and confidence.

If you have decided to resume a career or have decided to strike out on your own, establishing your own business, good for you! There's nothing wrong with your decision and if you want to be successful, you need to be at peace with yourself. A working mum has everything to be thankful for and she should be confident that she is providing for her family and for herself, very well.

Whenever guilt arises, it can lead to confusion and this in turn can lead to negativity and depression. There is a danger that you do not know all the facts about your given situation. You need to reduce your stress levels by finding out all the facts and turning on all those lights in those darkened rooms in your head! By being informed in this way, you can assess all the risks and opportunities presented to you and form a highly educated view of the situation. By finding out all these facts, you will have demonstrated a great deal of internal strength and this makes you feel so much better as well.

It is important that you have positive people all around you, who will support you. All those naysayers need to be in the far distance and better yet, you should creatively erase their contact details! If you surround yourself with a very important group of positive people, you can bounce off any challenges you might fear and will be a lot stronger as a result of this feedback. Don't expect them to take on all the problem solving for you; quite the contrary. Contribute to this group pro-actively and understand that it represents a two-way street. These days, online coaching can be another source of support for you to consider.

Remember to travel light when you are getting ready for your big challenge. This means that you should get rid of anything that is not appropriate from the world all around you. This might be a good time to clear out your workspace and most especially if you are now working from home, either telecommuting or as your own boss. When your environment is clear all around you, this will make you feel far more productive and you will be ready and focused for your day ahead.

As a working mum, you could be forgiven for feeling those pangs of guilt from time to time. You are not alone in feeling this way and rest assured that this kind of torment is quite usual; it might be a good idea for you to consider professional coaching? Thankfully, online coaching can help you focus on what is positive and what others in your position are doing and help you to prepare correctly for your life ahead.

You need to reduce your stress levels by finding out all the facts and turning on all those lights in those darkened rooms in your head! By being informed in this way, you can assess all the risks and opportunities presented to you and form a highly educated view of the situation. Taking a concerted action and finding out all the facts will in turn give you internal strength and make you feel much better about your position.

It is important that you have positive people all around you, who will support you. Create distance between you and all those negative people and in fact it would be far better if you lost their contact details! By surrounding yourself with positive people in your support group, you will be able to turn to them with any issues or challenges, getting a lot of confidence from the positive feedback that they will give. This is not to say that you should delegate all the problem-solving to them, quite the opposite. This is definitely a two-way street and by contributing to the value of the group proactively, you're on the right track. These days, online coaching can be another source of support for you to consider.

When you are planning for the big challenge ahead, travel light! This means that you should get rid of anything that is not appropriate from the world all around you.
Now that spring is here and the summer is on it's way it gets harder to sit in front of a computer every day and do the stuff required to establish a profitable home based enterprise. (...)

Now that spring is here and the summer is on it's way it gets harder to sit in front of a computer every day and do the stuff required to establish a profitable home based enterprise. In the case of on line marketing, e.g., scripting content and building oneway links becomes not so attractive when the outdoors calls to you.

But these are the times when it can be particularly imperative to keep your agreements with yourself. The longer you allow things to slide the more difficult it is to get going again and the longer it's going to be before you see results that will help to motivate you further. And, in the meantime, there's the little boost in enthusiasm that results from keeping your agreements, especially when it took some effort to do so.

When looking for a more productive environment one strategy that is effective for me is to head to my favourite cafe, treat myself to a mocha and write there. At least I get to take pleasure in the fresh air as I'm walking. Of all the "tricks" I have for developing a writing routine this one is my favourite. I find it very challenging to write in the home, no matter what the season. It is similar with any job I'm resisting. There are simply too many distractions - too many excuses. But going to an environment I take pleasure being in works well. It's a big help to my internal motivation.

It seems to be that even when I'm really trying hard to write I will always generate something when I'm in the cafe. Even if it is not particularly good quality. I also enjoy writing articles in the public library (it reminds me of happy university days) and on a bench on the promenade overlooking the seashore.

A productive environment is a necessary factor in relation to motivation so I recommend playing with what works/doesn't work out for you. It is not solely about physical space either. I find I cannot write, for example, if there are songs playing in the background. Classical music I can manage but anything with lyrics that I can hear and I just cannot focus.

Now and then I find having a lit candle on my computer table helps me to get on with activities I've been pushing aside. I don't know why. There is simply something I find reassuring about it.

So, I recommend you experiment with various places and environmental surroundings and build up a selection of conditions that enable you to feel more motivated to do those jobs you have been procrastinating about.

We all crave inspiration from time to time. Sometimes we can feel as if we are on our own in this difficult and demanding world. Could it be that you are the only working mum who is struggling to find a way forward, battling to balance social life, work and the difficulties of bringing up children? We need to be honest with ourselves and agree that we all experience these ups and downs and are not able to make head nor tail of life, so it's good to get an insight into other people's activities, so that we can get some much-needed motivation to help us with our future battles!

The social media revolution has allowed us to keep in touch with others like never before. Now, we are able to take a glimpse into the lives of complete strangers and to really expand our social circles by interacting with other, like-minded mums.

One of the best social networks is, of course, Twitter and we have looked for some inspirational working mums within. Maybe you will find some inspiration from the writings of these women, but as you dive into the awesome power of the Internet, go a little further and line up some online coaching for your own inspiration. These days, professional coaching can really be the shot in the arm that you need.

Nadine Hill (@businessmum) from the north of England lists some of her talents as "plate spinner, fashion lover, biz owner" and she is also an entrepreneurial speaker. She has found that she is good at multitasking, balancing her roles of modern mum and business owner, as she writes a number of different books.

Carolyne Wahlen (@preventativehr) runs a business specialising in employment contracts, human resource outsourcing and measures to avoid those potentially damaging issues with employees. She is fluent in German, based in Reading and also juggles time as a working mum with Brownie duties.

Angie Stewart (@angiejstewart) has set up a business consultancy with her husband. They have two boys together, but Angie is also able to manage two exciting pop groups — Kill The Jukebox and Live Covers Band.

Brigitte Mehr (@brigittemehr) claims to be the proudest mum as she builds her entrepreneurial empire. She is involved in a great deal, writing a successful blog giving top Internet marketing strategies to us all, while collecting designer handbags on the one hand and promoting online coaching and mentoring on the other.

If you follow astrology, you can learn all about the phases of the moon, eclipses, how to identify asteroids and those strange twinkling lights in the sky. (@serennu) writes about her interests in comedy and music back home in Wales, as she also operates @astrologyblog.

You may be familiar with Angela Griffin (@angela_griffin), the thirty-something mum of two who is a TV presenter and actress for Britain's Sky TV. She is, after all, better known as the hairdresser Fiona in Coronation Street.

Tina Weeks is a financial life planner, who wants to help people manage their money effectively, so they can live the life that they want. She is the Finance Coach (@thefinancecoach) and is based in Barnet, London.

If you really want some inspiration, check out the real-life story of Sarah E Andrews (@sarahsaner), who documents her fight and victory over cancer, while being a busy mum and promoting her career as an aspiring fiction writer.

If you really want some freedom, you should aspire to be a digital nomad. Lea Woodward (@leawoodward) has been able to do just that, as she does not live in any one particular location. This business model works exceptionally well for her, even as a busy mum and she wants to help everybody find out all about this option.

Michelle Dale (@miss_Friday) used her experience in career development and her passion for travel to help her establish a successful Virtual Assistance business. For the entrepreneur, she is the Girl Friday!

Amanda Alexander, Director of Coaching Mums, helps pressure-cooked, stressed working mums who long for more hours in the day. Through her coaching programmes and online life coaching courses, Amanda shows mums how to create fulfilling and successful lives.
We know that we have 24 hours in each day and that this should be plenty of time for us to complete everything that we have to do, with ample time to spare. (...)

We know that we have 24 hours in each day and that this should be plenty of time for us to complete everything that we have to do, with ample time to spare. The dawn of each day should bring a fresh outlook to all of us and we should feel rejuvenated and ready to tackle anything that life has in store. This is not always the case, though, as we always seem to be playing catch-up, even though we have the most honourable intentions in mind. When the sun has set and the hours are winding down, we often feel frustrated, as we have not had enough time to complete all those tasks. This seems especially apparent as a busy working mum and we often ask ourselves how we can become more efficient, or find an extra hour or two to help us out. Well, maybe we can:

1. Set up your phone so that all calls are processed before they reach you. With technology, some great programs are available to help you do this, including Google Voice, allowing you to prioritise the calls that you must take from those that can simply wait. You can even block unwanted or troublesome calls through the system. By having your own, personal secretary in this way, you will not waste valuable minutes.

2. Learn about outsourcing. While we know that it is difficult to find a good childminder and you might be taking on this task yourself when working or tele-commuting from home, understand that other chores can be outsourced, including daily cleaning work.

3. Get a good time management software program, learn how to use it and stick with it. It might seem a bit alien to you at first, but if you are really stringent, you will save a great deal of time each day by focusing your attention.

4. Plan as much as you want, but make sure you follow through. If you have a long list of items that are swimming around in your head, that you know you need to complete, you will tend to bounce back and forth between them, which is very inefficient. Allocate time to plan ahead, whether this takes place during the prior evening, or when you first wake up.

5. You need to set aside an hour for communication. This includes all those call-backs that you might have to make, the checking of e-mail, updating of Facebook or other social networks. It's amazing how much time can be wasted if you're answering calls or constantly checking your e-mail accounts, in this unstructured fashion.

6. You must insert a "buffer" from time to time when you are planning. Never allocate time for a string of tasks, one after the other in an unrealistic fashion. If you allocate a certain amount of "buffer," you will not get sidetracked, harried or fall off your schedule.

7. Combine your exercise time with "catching up" time. Never avoid physical activity and allocate at least 30 minutes per day to do so, but when you do this combine it with time to catch up with anything that is newsworthy. To do this you might have to put a TV in your home gym, utilise that electronic book reader or even just listen to a particular news or media channel as you go.

These days, online coaching experts know full well the value of time management and how adequate planning can help you to free up extra time that you might have overlooked. You will find that professional coaching is widely used by people throughout life and not just in the corporate executive arena. Don't forget, professional coaching for women is particularly recommended in your case!

Summer is here and with it the call of the great outdoors. Before long, the memory of those elongated winter days will seem a distant memory. No wonder we look forward to the summer holidays as much as we do! This time, however, we are well aware how family budgets have taken a hammering due to the effects of the big economic recession. Now, it is a challenge to simply find the money to pay the mortgage or rent and to feed all the family, let alone to come up with funds to help pay for special trips during the summer.

It is traditionally very difficult to strike a balance when planning your budget and meeting family expectations and this is where professional coaching could help to put you on the right track. Consult with your online coaching expert to find the best way to win this battle according to your particular circumstances. As you do this, we have called on our professional coaching expertise to look through the World Wide Web and find you ten excellent days out for you to think about this summer, each rather different from the other, but all for under a tenner.

We can remember from our childhood how all kids love models, so you should plan a visit to Bekonskot Model Village in rural Buckinghamshire, a place where you can spend time looking at the "eccentric" model village, complete with the splendid model railway. Check it out online at: www.bekonscot.com.

Everybody is a fan of Harry Potter and you can see where they got the inspiration for Hogwarts at Alnwick Castle. Children can interact and delve into the world of medieval knights and dragons. www.alnwickcastle.com/

Add a history lesson to your day out by exploring Hadrian's Wall, where you will find some of the best preserved forts and artefacts from the Roman era. Visit www.hadrians-wall.org/ to get a list of all of the locations you can visit for less than a tenner.

Who would've thought that pleasant, rural Norfolk would have been the location for monstrous dinosaurs? These beasts hold a fascination for kids and they are almost certain to love the Dinosaur Adventure Park, as they learn about how these ancient creatures interacted. www.dinosauradventure.co.uk

If you believe in Harry Potter, you have to believe in the legend of wizards and it is said that the caves at picturesque Alderley Edge were once a mystical hangout. The national trust has designated this as a special place and all the family can be entertained here. www.alderleyedge.org.

Not so long ago, the Welsh relied on coal mining as one of their principal economic drivers. Those days are long gone, but at the Big Pit National Mining Museum, children can get excited about descending down an old mine shaft, dressing up as a miner and sampling the way of life. www.museumwales.ac.uk

Music is truly a universal language and we can all get great pleasure from going to one of the free events for families staged by BBC Proms Plus. Now is your chance to make sure that the kids know what "real" music is all about! BBC Proms Plus http://www.bbc.co.uk/proms/2010/whatson/plus.shtml

Through the ages, trains have held a fascination for children and although the modern versions of today are hardly as evocative as those railway locomotives, with all their steam and action, you will be delighted to see the look on your kids’ faces when they come across 100 or more traditional examples at the National Railway Museum. www.NRM.org.uk

Take a journey down memory lane and indulge in your memories as well, as you give the children a glimpse of those far-off days. You can get free admission at the Museum of Childhood. www.museumofchildhood.org.uk (East London).

It's not often that you can find things to do in London for free, but at the Tower of London, you can even take part in a treasure hunt on the beach! www.hrp.org.uk.

We hope that some of these trips can be inspirational and if so, think how you could make your life as a working mum even more pleasurable throughout the year, not just during the summer, by looking at online coaching alternatives.

The call of the great outdoors arrives with those long, summer days. Before long, the memory of those elongated winter days will seem a distant memory. We really do look forward to the summer holidays and with every reason! But the big economic downturn is still with us and family budgets are stretched. Now, it is a challenge to simply find the money to pay the mortgage or rent and to feed all the family, let alone to come up with funds to help pay for special trips during the summer.

Balancing a budget against family expectations can be difficult at the best of times, and professional coaching can take some of this strain away.
